EX-01 Solo exhibition
A new body of eighteen oil and acrylic works by Chike Onuorah, tracing portraiture as lived testimony. Opening reception with the artist on 14 November, 6pm.
EX-02 Collectors’ viewing
An intimate after-hours viewing of held and unreleased canvases for registered collectors. Limited to twenty guests, with the artist present for the final hour.
EX-03 Artist in conversation
The painter speaks with curator Ifeoma Eze on memory, identity, and the women who recur across his portraits. Seated talk followed by an open floor and tea.
EX-04 Art week presentation
Ovico presents a focused four-canvas hang at West Africa’s leading art fair, anchored by Blood of the Lamb. Gallery staff on stand throughout the fair.
EX-05 Studio open day
A rare daytime opening of Chike Onuorah’s working studio, with sketches, primed linens, and works in progress on view. Walk-ins welcome, registration encouraged.

About the artist
Onuorah works in oil and acrylic from a studio in Lagos. The paintings accumulate as a single argument carried across years: the figure under pressure, colour as record, the surface kept honest.
Ovico holds the practice in full rather than in fragments. Each canvas enters the register, is accessioned, and remains part of one continuous line of work. There is no roster to dilute it.
Why Ovico
Most contemporary African galleries carry twenty or more artists. Ovico carries one. Every resource — wall, archive, attention — concentrates on a single evolving practice.
Each work is accessioned on entry: OV-001 onward, with medium, dimensions, provenance, and status held as a permanent register. Collectors acquire from a documented line, not a feed.
Because the gallery follows a single artist, the collection reads as one argument over time. A work bought today sits inside a record that began years ago and keeps extending.
